Greg Brink - Piano
Greg hails from Ohio where he studied music at Capital Conservatory in Columbus and Ohio University in Athens. His passion, since his early years has been jazz and blues; he was introduced to the music early in school. He played in various ensemble settings while in Ohio, including traditional big bands, more contemporary big bands, as well as small combo quartets, trio, duos, and solo. He relocated to North Carolina in 1997 to take advantage of the wonderful weather and life style of the triangle.
Since moving here he has had the opportunity to work with numerous fine musicians in a variety of venues. Greg’s highest priority as a musician is to use a song the audience recognizes as a foundation for self-expression. By improvising on harmony, rhythm, and texture he gives new life to jazz standards and popular tune.
We're very pleased to have Greg as a part of Swing Street. Not only is he a fine piano player, he is also a great ambassador for the band.
